Congratulations to Nick Gardner on his selection today as Labour’s candidate for the Leith Walk Ward by election (pictured here with Cammy Day, Councillor for Forth Ward and Depute Leader of City of Edinburgh Council)

Nick has five years’ recent experience as a City councillor for Leith Walk Ward, with service on several key committees, including Planning and Housing.

As a representative of Leith Central Community Council he spoke as part of the “Save Leith Walk” opposition to the proposed development of Stead’s Place at the Council hearing on 30 January 2019.

As a resident, he has 30 years of insight into the spirit and needs of the community and serves both right now as Chair of Friends of Pilrig Park and also of Leith Festival.

Nick is committed and ready for the opportunity to represent his constituents again.
