Last week we launched our Women's Manifesto for the Scottish Parliament election.
We want a Scotland where we leave behind inequality for good. A more equal society means a happier society for everyone and a more dynamic economy for all. Only Labour has a plan to achieve this.
We will tackle equal pay, seek to end gender based violence in Scotland, and promote equal representation both in private and public bodies by appointing a Cabinet Secretary for Equalities.
We will ensure opportunity for all women from an early age by tackling the inequalities in our education system and we will ensure that women born between 1951 and 1957 don’t get a lower pension compared to men of the same age because of UK government changes.
